Rangeway Energy Announces Strategic Technology Partnerships to Power Premium Scenic Corridor Charging Network
November 12, 2025
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 12, 2025 – Today, Rangeway Energy, a premium EV charging network for America’s scenic highways, has announced strategic partnerships with three technology providers: ChargeMate (AI-powered driver support), WattsUp (predictive uptime monitoring), and HyWatts (modular renewable power systems). These partnerships strengthen Rangeway’s ability to deliver hospitality-grade charging experiences across challenging corridor environments.
“Charging shouldn’t be a chore - it should be part of the journey,” said Zak Winnick, Founder and CEO of Rangeway Energy. “These partnerships bring together the technologies we need to deliver on that promise: AI that helps drivers before they even realize they need it, monitoring that keeps chargers online before problems arise, and power systems that let us serve scenic destinations other networks can’t reach.”

ChargeMate provides 24/7 AI-powered driver assistance, resolving 87-93% of charging session issues without human escalation. The platform integrates with Rangeway’s NOC teams, enabling seamless handoff for complex issues while reducing the burden on hub staff. “If I were building a fast charging network today, I’d want it to look like Rangeway Energy,” said Brad Crist, CEO & Co-founder of ChargeMate AI, Inc. “They’ve thought through every detail of the driver experience, and we’re proud to partner with Zak and team to deliver a seamless charging experience for all.”
WattsUp brings AI-driven predictive monitoring that identifies and resolves potential charger issues before drivers arrive. By analyzing real-time performance data across Rangeway’s network, WattsUp enables proactive maintenance and supports Rangeway’s 98-99% uptime commitment. “Rangeway’s hospitality-first model sets a new standard for EV charging, and WattsUp is proud to power the AI-driven reliability layer behind it. Together, we’ll prove that dependable uptime and great driver experiences can go hand in hand,” said Hilary Taylor, Co-founder & CEO, WattsUp.
HyWatts provides modular Power-Plant-in-a-Box™ systems that integrate solar generation, advanced battery storage, and hydrogen-ready power modules. These turnkey solutions enable Rangeway to serve grid-constrained locations where traditional charging infrastructure would be impractical. “HyWatts is excited to partner with Rangeway to open up the beauty of America to EVs like never before by combining distributed energy with world class hospitality and convenience,” said Sam Ruben, Co-founder/Chief Business Development Officer, HyWatts. “There are incredible destinations along scenic corridors that lack the grid infrastructure for reliable fast charging. HyWatts changes that equation,” added Winnick.
What’s Next
Currently seeking Pre-Seed investors, Rangeway has assembled the technology partnerships needed to deploy its first hub and satellite cluster, connecting travelers to iconic destinations where charging infrastructure has historically been unreliable or absent. The company is finalizing its flagship Basecamp location while building partnerships with site hosts across key strategic routes.
